Clinical Lead for Mental Health Support Team in Schools (MHSTs)
Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Clinical Lead who will provide the clinical leadership to ensure the implementation and delivery of the MHSTs in schools. This post will provide management and leadership for staff within the MHSTs. This post will work in partnership with the School Based Need Clinical Lead and will further develop the partnership working that is currently taking place between education, Local Authority, CCG and the new Alliance. This post will report to the relevant partnership meetings.
The role is 0.8 WTE (30 hours per week), ASAP start date for 3 months.
Covering Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (can be flexible on days).
Main duties of the job
* Work in partnership with Senior leaders in schools to set up and deliver the MHST
* With Early Intervention Clinician be responsible and ensure the effective co-ordination of clinical care provided within schools including consideration to safeguarding and clinical risk issues where indicated
* Build relationships across services to ensure joint delivery of care
* Provide clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and caseload management to the Senior Early Intervention Clinician.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified in core profession such as Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapy, Child Psychotherapist, Social Work or creative therapies e.g. Art Therapy.
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Postgraduate (Masters and above) level of clinical study
Experience
* Evidence of experience in completing specialist mental health assessments and formulation
* Experience of delivering CBT based interventions.
* Experience of delivering evidence-based interventions and approaches with children and young people across a variety of care settings.
* Experience of working with children and young people, families, and carers within a mental health setting
* Experience of providing consultation/teaching/ training
