An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council Support team as a Business Support Co-ordinator (BSC) within our Infrastructure Team. This key role involves line-managing a team of administration staff who provide essential support to the Transportation, Roads Services, Smartcards, and Facilities Management teams. We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill this vital position. Key Responsibilities: Line management of 20 staff (15.6 FTE), ensuring effective performance, development, and support. Overseeing the delivery of high-quality administrative and operational support across multiple service areas. Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of support functions within the Infrastructure team. Supporting continuous improvement and service efficiency initiatives. Collaborating with senior managers and service leads to align support with operational needs. Essential Skills and Experience: Proven supervisory or line management experience, ideally within a public sector or administrative environment. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and lead a team through change. A proactive and solution-focused approach to service delivery. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems. Work Environment: The successful candidate will be office-based initially at Penston House, Macmerry Industrial Estate, with the potential to explore hybrid working arrangements in the future, subject to service requirements and performance.
