About the RoleAs a HLTA, you will play a vital role inplementing the professional work of teachers by:
1. Planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
2. Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress, and development.
3. Coordinating and delivering home tuition for pupils unable to attend school, ensuring continuity in their learning journey.
4. Supporting formal accreditation and curriculum enhancement.
5. Building constructive relationships with parents/carers to support pupil attendance and engagement.
6. Attending review meetings and liaising with multi-agency teams.
7. Maintaining resources and equipment used in tuition delivery.
Key Requirements
8. Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 12 months driving experience.
9. Access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance.
10. Ability to travel to pupils’ homes across the borough.
11. Willingness to work with the school and agency to agree a mileage rate in line with Oldham Council guidelines.
12. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and challenge pupils.
13. Experience in supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable.
