Location and hours
Location: HMP Deerbolt, Barnard Castle, DL12 9BG
Working hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday 08:00–16:00 with a 30 minute early finish during the week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Drug & Alcohol Team, DART, part of Waythrough, Reconnected To Health within North East Prisons. You would be employed within HMYOI Deerbolt, Barnard Castle, one of seven prisons across the North East of England. HMYOI Deerbolt is a male custodial establishment, supporting males from aged 18 and you will be required to work in a fast paced challenging environment.
About the Role
As part of a passionate team, you''ll be working face-to-face with males, young people, families, and professionals in custody and community settings providing support, information and advice across clinical healthcare, probation, social services and education.
Your day-to-day might include:
* 1:1 psychosocial sessions
* Group work, workshops
* Promoting recovery and raising awareness of substance use throughout establishment and community
* Supporting men with recovery through both individual and partnership working to improve their mental health, physical wellbeing, and resilience
