Do you pride yourself in delivering first class customer service? Are you interested in building a career in Local Government? Then we have an apprenticeship opportunity in our Talent Development team that could be just for you!
The Talent Development team here at Norfolk County Council is responsible for everything to do with attracting, recruiting and retaining people across our organisation. One of the key workstreams within the team is apprenticeships and early careers. We have an award-winning apprenticeship programme, with over 600 apprentices currently working for us, and this role will be part of the team that makes this programme so successful.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about delivering great customer service, and who has a positive and proactive approach. You’ll need an understanding of common software packages (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel), good written and verbal communication skills, and the desire to learn and progress your career.
The role is aligned to the apprenticeship standard of Business Administrator Level 3, and it’s expected that this would not normally take longer than 24 months to complete. You’ll be expected to show commitment to studying and attend all training throughout the apprenticeship, and time will be provided during work hours to achieve this. The level of responsibility and complexity of work will steadily increase throughout the course of the apprenticeship as you develop your knowledge and skills.
To apply for the role, please include a CV outlining any work experience you have to date, as well as your educational background. Please also include a cover letter / supporting statement that explains why you are interested in the role, why you think you might be a good fit, and how you meet the criteria included in the person specification. If selected for interview, it will be a two-stage process, including a first stage telephone interview and a second stage face to face assessment.
We think this is a great opportunity to start your career as an apprentice in a passionate, proactive team that is delivering meaningful, impactful work. If it sounds of interest, then we would love to hear from you!
