Pay: £13.35 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, including alternate weekend working
Shift Pattern: 08:30 and 17:00
Come and join our team at Elizabeth House, a 43‑bed residential and dementia care home in Poole. You’ll be able to support our residents in a safe and caring environment where they can live their lives as if in the comfort of their own home.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily delivery of all housekeeping and laundry services including supervision of the housekeeping and laundry team.
- Ensuring that cleaning, laundry and domestic equipment is maintained by staff in accordance with manufacturing instructions and health & safety guidelines.
- All minor faults and repairs are reported promptly and recorded.
- Ensuring that rooms for viewing are presented to a high standard.
- Preparing schedules which identify and allocate responsibility for daily, weekly, monthly, annual and cyclical cleaning/maintenance tasks.
- Ordering stock of cleaning products and PPE, ensuring all First Aid boxes are appropriately stocked and located in accessible areas in the event of an emergency.
Who we are looking for
- Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!
- A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.
- Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join as part of a larger housekeeping team.
