Salary: A GBP 24,956 per annum rising to A GBP 25,350 per annum (on successful completion of probation). After successful completion of ISVA accreditation, rising to A GBP 26,925.

Our client is looking for someone passionate, resilient, and committed to supporting individuals who have reported rape or sexual assault to the police to join their team as a Children and Young Person Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CYP ISVA).
The Role
To work within a multi-agency setting providing proactive crisis intervention to child victims of sexual violence both within and outside the criminal justice system. The post holder will assess risks, support client needs, and develop support plans to ensure victims' safety. The role involves advocacy and partnership working to support victims throughout the criminal justice process, from reporting to court, and facilitating access to entitled services.
The role emphasizes delivering a high-quality, victim-focused, and inclusive service as outlined in the Victim Code of Practice. The post holder will manage a busy caseload, demonstrate excellent partnership skills, and understand Child and Vulnerable People Safeguarding procedures. The role requires proactive collaboration within the ISVA team and respecting community diversity to ensure services are accessible to all. Providing advocacy and information in high-risk situations, maintaining professional records, and prioritizing safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Understand the dynamics of sexual violence and its impact on victims, families, and society.
* Travel throughout Swindon and Wiltshire to support clients under 18 years old.
* Manage a caseload of clients aged 0-18, including cases of child sexual abuse, violence, and exploitation, providing tailored support plans.
* Offer face-to-face, telephone, and email support to clients and supporters.
* Develop the CYP ISVA role across the organization and ensure service accessibility respecting diversity.
* Support children and young people through the criminal justice process, liaising with police and other agencies.
* Respond proactively to crisis situations, complete safeguarding referrals, and engage with agencies such as SARC, CAMHS, social services, police, and counseling services for a multi-agency approach.
Skills and Qualifications
* Valid UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.
