Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for Ambulance Care Assistants to join our team based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on a variable rota, 5 x 8-hour shifts per week covering Monday - Saturday. Please only apply if you can commit to this shift pattern.

An Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is a rewarding role. Your main responsibility will be transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities. This can be carried out as two-person crews or alone, so a full UK driving license and good physical fitness are essential.
Other duties include
* Assisting in the transportation of ‘end of life’ service users with empathy
* Building rapport through effective communication
* Lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the Ambulance
* Handing over patients to staff or family at the destination
* Transferring patients between beds, stretchers, and chairs
* Assisting with challenging behavior and mental health illnesses
* Maintaining ambulance safety, cleanliness, and tidiness
To be considered as an ACA, you will need to be
* Committed to patient care
* An effective communicator, capable of handling emotional circumstances
* A calm, careful driver with no more than three penalty points
* A team player
* Physically fit for patient handling
* Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded)
* Able to work flexible shifts
* Familiar with the local area
