Band 7 Team Lead Occupational Therapist for Acute Medicine and Frailty Services
With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week; there will be no change in full time pay.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Medical and Frailty Occupational Therapy Service at Ninewells Hospital as a Band 7 Team Lead.
This is a senior clinical and leadership role, ideal for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care while leading and developing a team within a fast-paced acute hospital environment.
You will work autonomously while providing leadership to a team of Occupational Therapists and support staff. This role involves maintaining and developing close links with rehabilitation and community colleagues to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Your Role Will Include
* Leading and managing a team of Occupational Therapists and support staff.
* Working across multiple specialities including cardiology, frailty, general medicine, infectious diseases, gastroenterology and front door services.
* Providing advanced specialist assessment and intervention for patients with complex medical and frailty needs.
* Contributing to multidisciplinary decision-making and discharge planning.
* Leading and supporting service development, audit, research, and clinical governance activity.
* Supervising, mentoring, and developing staff and students.
* Creating a supportive environment within the team, focussing on staff wellbeing.
