Overview
We are seeking organized and proactive individuals to join our team as a Control of Contractors Coordinator. The role entails overseeing all subcontractor works to ensure safety and successful project management.
Responsibilities
* Supervision of contractors onsite and booking them in.
* Escort sub-contractors onsite – ensuring security guidelines are maintained.
* Support on other tasks – booking in subcontractors, checking paperwork, reviewing risk assessments, and supporting the overall engineering team. This includes support with Logbooks, Compliance, Leonardo processes (e.g., security arrangements for visiting site).
* Ad-hoc inspections.
* Responsible for subcontractor prequalification, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, delivering subcontractor inductions, and issuing Work Authorisations and Permits to Work to ensure the safe delivery of work across site.
* Liaison with subcontractor groups and key stakeholders to ensure the timely issue of work authorisations and permits to work in line with procedural requirements.
* Plan and prioritise works, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Competencies
* IOSH as basic; NEBOSH certification preferred. Previous experience in a similar role with good knowledge of M&E disciplines and associated legislative/statutory requirements.
* IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate ideally required (noting this can be working towards).
* Successful management of subcontractor groups, from both an operational and safety perspective, to prevent undesirable outcomes.
* Ability to develop positive working relationships with internal/external key stakeholders and subcontractor groups. Ability to work in a fast-paced and reactive environment.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire confidence.
* Technical knowledge and experience from a Facilities or other technical background.
