Are you an experienced Yards Person with a passion for vehicle logistics? Currently, we are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Yards Person / HGV Driver to join their busy team in Feltham, Greater London. As a Yards Person / HGV Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
15. Safely moving and positioning vehicles within the yard and workshop, including HGVs and commercial vehicles
16. Ensuring vehicles are parked correctly and aligned with operational requirements
17. Conducting basic vehicle checks for damage, cleanliness, and roadworthiness
18. Reporting any vehicle issues to the workshop manager promptly
19. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
20. Adhering strictly to all health and safety procedures, including safe vehicle movement and pedestrian safety
21. Assisting with general site housekeeping duties when required
22. Maintaining effective communication with workshop teams, managers, and customer service staff to coordinate vehicle movements
The ideal candidate for the Yards Person / HGV Driver position will have:
23. A full UK driving licence, with a Category C (Class 2) licence being highly desirable
24. Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures
25. Ability to manoeuvre vehicles safely within busy or confined areas
26. Good communication skills, able to work effectively within a team
27. Reliable, punctual, and highly organised
28. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and use initiative
29. Flexible and adaptable to changing operational demands
