Search are currently supporting a well-established, family-run business based in Liverpool who are now looking to appoint a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant as the business continues to grow. This is a standalone role, supported by the Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.\n\nThis is a small close-knit, supportive culture. They're looking for someone reliable and proactive who can slot into the team, work independently, and keep the day-to-day finance running smoothly.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDay-to-day bookkeeping duties, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control\nRaising and processing invoices daily - a key task for the business\nUsing Sage 50 and/or Xero for all bookkeeping activity\nHelping ensure all payments, receipts, and reconciliations are accurately recorded\nSupporting month-end activity as required\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nPrior experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts assistant role\nConfident using Sage 50 and/or Xero (training can be provided if needed)\nComfortable working autonomously and managing their own workload\nFriendly, adaptable, and down-to-earth - someone who can quietly fit into a sociable, easy-going team\nComfortable working in a small business environment with a hands-on approachThe benefits on offer include:\n\n£26,000-£29,000 (depending on experience)\n25 days holiday plus 8 bank holiday\nPension \nFree-onsite parking\n(phone number removed)pm (flexibility to discuss)\nThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of the finance function in a business that genuinely values its people.
