SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Are you passionate about making a difference for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SENCO to join a lovely primary school to lead the provision for pupils with additional needs. This truly is a lovely school with a very supportive leadership team. Immediate start date available, working on a long-term contract with opportunities to progress.
As SENCO, you will:
* Oversee and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
* Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils with SEND receive the support they need to thrive.
* Lead on the development of inclusive teaching practices and provide guidance and training to colleagues.
* Monitor and track the progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring interventions and support are effective.
* Be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the school’s strategic development.
About You
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete within 3 years of appointment).
3. A strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience supporting pupils with a range of needs.
