A well-established business based in Birmingham City Centre is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable professional to take ownership of their high-volume AP function. This is a stable, long-term role for someone who enjoys Accounts Payable and is looking for excellent work-life balance rather than progression into management accounting.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment
* Accurate and consistent 3-way matching
* Managing and resolving complex and key supplier queries
* Building relationships with key and complex suppliers
* Processing weekly / monthly payment runs
* Completing supplier statement reconciliations
* Supporting day-to-day AP operations and process improvements
This role is ideal for someone who
* Has strong experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or autonomous AP role
* Enjoys working in a high-volume environment
* Is confident dealing with complex supplier accounts and queries
* Is looking for a long-term AP position, not progression into management accounting but perhaps some projects along the way
* Values stability and work-life balance
This role would not suit candidates currently studying or intending to study ACCA, CIMA or similar, as there is no progression pathway into accounting or finance leadership roles.
