This is a hybrid role that requires working 4 days from our office based in Watford and 1 day from home.
JOB PURPOSE
Designer Parfums is seeking an experienced Brand Manager to manage a portfolio of brands where you will be leading creative brand development (NPD) and marketing.
We are seeking an individual with 2-3 years of brand/product management experience ideally within the health, beauty, and fragrance industry.
Working within the Company’s marketing team, you will be fully immersed in the role from day one and have responsibility for your brand, launching new products and maximising brand marketing opportunities in line with strategic objectives and the annual brand plan.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop the marketing strategy, including defining: key markets, target audience, objectives, approach, and launch phasing.
* Lead the various cross-functional workstreams during the planning phase, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables received.
* Market, competition, and brand result in analysis and recommendations
* Definition, development, and implementation of the brand’s strategies - Work in partnership with all teams to ensure commercial targets are achieved in line with the 3-year plan.
* Development of new lines, where needed, with agencies (concept, assortment, product, communication, special products, gift sets) and in collaboration with our in-house NPD
* Assortment management of existing lines (product lifecycle)
* Development of sell-in and POS materials: presentations, decorations, samples, promotion spaces, GWPs, PWPs, Giftsets, training materials, PR materials, CI guide
* Responsible for yearly budget planning and management, including monthly review of the Management Team
* Contact with the license partner, depending if the brand is fully owned or under license
* Preparation of and participation in International meetings, trade shows, sales meetings, etc
* Maintain constant communication across the different departments in the business.
REQUIREMENTS
* The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
* Proven and relevant brand/product development and marketing experience, ideally within the beauty/fragrance industry
* Educated to degree level
* Innovative problem solver with a good creative eye
* Proactive, able to work independently and on their own initiative
* Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint presentation skills
* Experience in a global business is an advantage
* Demonstrable consumer focus and ability to turn insight into actionable projects
* Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
* Able to manage end-to-end campaign development and execution.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent people and management skills with the ability to multitask and motivate those in other teams
* A keen interest in all things beauty/fashion and an avid follower of relevant news, trends, blogs, etc.
* Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
* Self-motivated and ambitious with a positive “can-do” attitude.
