Across our Luton and Bedfordshire teams, we are developing an exciting opportunity for NMC registered practitioners to work with children and families from the antenatal period to 19 years of age. You will work in an integrated 0-19 team within our Luton and Bedfordshire services.
You will be supported to develop in the role, gaining the skills and knowledge required to support the skill mix team to deliver our service confidently and competently. You will have the opportunity to work both virtually and in person, gaining experience of our universal services and targeted offer within the community.
There is an expectation that upon successful appointment to this development role, you will commit to undertaking the Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) degree course within 3 years of joining us, depending on your readiness and course availability.
Please note, this role requires travel to visit various bases, other services, and families at home. The development roles will be available across all areas of Luton and Bedfordshire.

Job responsibilities
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary 0-19 team to identify the health needs of children, young people, their families, and the community.
* Contribute to developing strategies to address individual and community needs.
* Support families through home visits, digital drop-in clinics, virtual, and phone contacts.
* Work with locality teams to support vulnerable or at-risk children, young people, and families, adhering to safeguarding procedures and participating in child protection meetings.
* Support localities to deliver universal services and promote self-care and self-efficacy using digital resources.
* Maintain clinical practice standards, including supervision, and adhere to the NMC code of conduct.
* Contribute to policy development and service design projects.
* Utilize virtual platforms for assessments, interventions, training, and networking.
