Overview
Clinical Services Manager B8B role within NHS Scotland's Diagnostic Imaging. The CSM is part of the senior management team along with the second CSM and the General Manager, responsible for sector operations and management functions across GG&C within imaging. Duties include governance, complaints, Datix, waiting list management, HR issues, staff training, service delivery, and patient safety. The CSM works closely with the Clinical Lead, Sector and Site Superintendents, and directorate colleagues to review patient pathways, redesign services, and align with Board policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Review sector/site budgets monthly with superintendents and the finance team to identify efficiencies.
* Scrutinise study leave expenses, EPA and cost‑per‑case sign‑offs, and authorise equipment repairs to avoid financial detriment.
* Manage sector governance, complaints, Datix, waiting‑list management, and HR issues.
* Ensure training and staffing support service delivery and patient safety.
* Collaborate with Clinical Lead and other directorate colleagues in service redesign.
