Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Energy Analyst to join their growing team in Basingstoke. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional of graduate calibre with some commercial experience who is looking to further develop a career in the energy or data analytics sector. Working within a close-knit team of 5 analysts and reporting to the Bureau Manager, you will take ownership of data collection, validation, and reporting across a small portfolio of client accounts. Your work will directly support the accurate and timely delivery of our energy reporting services. Key Responsibilities * Collect and validate energy usage data from clients, suppliers, and third-party data sources * Analyse and report on energy performance data for internal and external stakeholders * Manage and build relationships with assigned clients, ensuring clear communication and service excellence * Validate utility invoices and reconcile billing data with consumption records * Identify errors, anomalies, or inefficiencies in data and pro actively work to resolve them * Produce accurate, timely, and high-quality reports and performance dashboards * Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests, ensuring data integrity * Participate in internal quality assurance (QA) processes, reviewing and validating peer work About You * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills essential * Comfortable handling large datasets and performing complex data analysis * Familiar with Power BI or willing to develop skills in data visualisation tools * Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to liaise effectively with clients and suppliers * Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Demonstrates initiative and accountability in managing workloads * Interest in the energy sector - previous industry experience is helpful but not required Desirable Experience * Previous experience in a data or analyst role * Exposure to utility billing, energy reporting, or invoice validation * Experience using data analysis platforms or business intelligence tools Why Join Us?
