Shape the future of housing – support real projects that deliver change for colleagues and tenants.
We're a housing association, here to provide safe, affordable homes and to build stronger communities across the Midlands. And we're offering students the chance to intern in our Project Management Team — where you'll gain hands-on experience supporting business change, technology projects, and portfolio management in a fast-paced dynamic organisation.
12-Month Internship: Starting 7th September 2026
Your Role:
You'll apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges – working alongside experienced Project Management professionals whilst gaining insight into project planning, governance, portfolio management and stakeholder engagement within a professional Project Management Office (PMO). You'll develop a first-hand appreciation of how our Project Management team support projects that improve services, systems, and ways of working — directly benefiting colleagues and tenants.
Your day to day will see you:
* Assisting the PMO in coordinating business change and technology projects.
* Helping prepare project documentation, including plans, reports, and risk logs.
* Contributing to portfolio management activities, monitoring progress against business priorities.
* Supporting Project Managers and Business Analysts with stakeholder engagement and communications.
* Taking part in project work, mentoring, and development activities as part of your internship.
What we're looking for:
* Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree in Project Management, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
* Strong organisational skills and an interest in structured project delivery.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, with an interest in project management systems.
* Enthusiasm, openness to feedback, and a genuine desire to learn.
