Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a CNC Turner to work with a well-established engineering company based in Willenhall who specialise in precision engineering for the Aerospace Industry. As the CNC Turner you will be responsible for ensuring all products and handled, Turner and identified within accordance to best practices and procedures. The CNC Turner will also be required to Set and operate Sliding head machines.
Duties of the CNC Turner:
* Setting and Operating of the CNC Multi Axis Lathe (Citizen) processing Titanium and various sized bathes of components whilst maintaining the standards of accuracy and finish.
* Produce precision components to engineering drawings ensuring all tolerances of the components are met.
* Ensuring that all products are handled in the most appropriate manner to eliminate any damage, or health hazards, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Ensuring full conformance to all the identified order requirements as presented.
* Ensuring the computer-based stock control system, and all supporting documentation, is fully maintained and accurate at all in accordance with Accura quality and working procedures and practices.
* Responsible for ensuring all stock being processed is maximised to achieve the best stock utilisation possible in adherence with Accura quality and working procedures and practices.
* Ensuring all stock and processed products are clearly identified in accordance with both Accura and customer requirements at all times.
The successful candidate for the CNC Turners position will have the following experience:
* 3 – 5 year’s experience working as a Sliding Head Setter Operator (Essential)
* 3 – 5 years setting and operating fixed head lathes would be considered.
* Experience using Heidenhain controls (Desirable)
* Experience machining with exotic materials (Desirable)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Essential)
