Job Profile for Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks & RC Frame)
Location: Brighton / Worthing (initially based in Wickham, Southampton)
Salary: Up to £70,000 (dependent on experience)
An established and growing Groundworks & RC Frame contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The role will initially be office-based in Wickham, Southampton, before transitioning to a long term site-based projects across Brighton and Worthing.
Working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day commercial management across live projects, with exposure to both residential and large RC frame developments.

Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial control
* Producing CVRs, cost reports, and forecasts
* Preparing and agreeing valuations
* Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and accounts
* Identifying and managing variations and change control
* Liaising with site teams, clients, and consultants
* Supporting tendering and procurement activities where required
Quantity Surveyor - Job Requirements
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Groundworks and RC Frame projects
* Ideally 3+ years' experience (all levels considered up to senior)
* Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
* Ability to carry out take-offs independently

* Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence
