We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and conscientious Production Maintenance Technician to join the team based in Bootle. The job holder will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the continuous running of manufacturing equipment, limiting downtime for repairs and Maintenance in line with demand and planning requirements. The successful candidate should be willing to actively engage and contribute their technical knowledge, to aid consistent service via equipment leading to successful manufacturing of products.
THE ROLE
· Develop and implement PM schedules for routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and manufacturing delays.
· Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in equipment and machinery, engaging external service providers where necessary.
· Liaise with production management in identifying opportunities to introduce new equipment and automation.
· Manage and keep up to date emergency spares list for production equipment.
· Maintain logbooks and training requirements in place for preventative maintenance carried out.
· Educate those within production on care and maintenance of equipment.
· Travel to other UK Mast locations as required (Deeside and Daresbury).
· Adhere to health and safety in all activities carried out.
In addition to the specified duties the Production Maintenance Engineer is expected to perform additional tasks that the company may require.
THE PERSON
· Electrical or mechanical qualification essential
· Experience of working in an automation discipline and automation repair
· Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is essential, and automation exposure an advantage.
· Can work on own initiative or part of a team as required.
· Excellent communication skills at all levels.
