Overview
Are you a proven Building Services Engineer with experience working in the Social Housing sector? If yes, then this may be the perfect role for you! We have a great opportunity that has arisen for a Senior Design & Technical Manager. You’ll lead on providing technical support and guidance to the wider department on design matters, working closely with colleagues from pre-inception stage through to the end of the Defects Liability Period. The focus is to ensure that full design and technical reviews are completed, that the most appropriate construction methods and materials are specified, and that our standard documentation is robust and current, to ensure our risks are fully mitigated. Based in our Farrington office, this role offers hybrid working arrangements of 2 days per week in the office and 3 days – work from home. Some occasional travel may be required from time to time depending on the need to visit sites.
What You\'ll Have
* CIBSE, IMechE, IET, or similar construction related membership and qualification, or qualified by equivalent experience.
* Advanced knowledge of building components and construction methodology.
* A track record of operating at a high level within a large and complex organisation, with particular experience in residential development and/or social housing sectors.
* Good communication skills, both orally and written, using a range of techniques and tools to convey messages.
* The ability to present complex information in a clear, transparent, and readily understandable manner.
