About the Role

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, 32.5 hours per week + Term-time only
* Wage: £7.55 per hour

Overview of the role:
The Teaching Assistant (TA) apprenticeship role is designed to support the educational development of pupils by providing targeted assistance in the classroom. Apprentices will work alongside qualified teachers to enhance pupil learning, particularly for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This role involves delivering one-on-one support, facilitating group activities, and contributing to a positive learning environment, while gaining practical experience and training in educational practices.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team at Harlowbury Primary School. The successful candidate will support the educational development of pupils in Years 1 and 2, focusing on enhancing learning experiences for those with diverse needs, including pupils with SEND, ASD, and EAL.
Key responsibilities
* Supporting Learning: Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities; provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils; facilitate the inclusion of all pupils in classroom activities.
* Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment; implement strategies to support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviours.
* Communication: Foster open communication with pupils, parents, and staff; prepare and maintain educational resources and materials for lessons.
* Monitoring Progress: Assist in assessing and recording pupils\' progress; provide feedback to the teacher on individual and group performance; support the implementation of individual learning plans for pupils with additional needs.
* Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities; collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Apprenticeship Summary
* You will work towards your Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification across a total duration of 16 months.
* Training provider: LMP Group
* All online/remote learning, no classroom or college day release
* An allocated tutor will support you throughout the apprenticeship
