Eventus Legal are recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join a law firm in their Bishop Auckland, County Durham office. This is a permanent job, offered on a full-time basis. The firm offers a generous salary (depending on experience), along with a holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays.
Role responsibilities
The incoming Legal Secretary will be working for an established Partner who specialises in residential conveyancing and criminal matters. You will be providing secretarial and administrative duties encompassing such duties as:
* Opening files on practice management system (Leap)
* Obtaining ID, conducting AML searches and media checks etc.
* Preparing forms
* Preparing documentation relevant to client matters
* Greeting visitors to the office
* Corresponding with clients and/or other law firms by e-mail, letter, or telephone
* Photocopying
* Preparing invoices
* Closing files on practice management system
Person specification
Applications are sought from experienced Legal Secretaries, ideally those with experience in either conveyancing and/or criminal matters. You will also have good typing and IT skills, including previous use of a case-management system (Leap would be advantageous).
