Your role: The Shift Leader ensures that all aspects of front-line operations are completed to schedule, and in compliance with EHS and Quality requirements. In addition, the Shift Leader will identify opportunities for, and implement actions to achieve, continuous improvement in their area of responsibility. They will also act as a coach to the operations team and provide support to ensure the operators can carry out their role effectively. The Shift Leader will have a full understanding of the high-level manufacturing processes including applicable EHS and Quality aspects. Your Responsibilities: Lead shift operations to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time production in line with EHS and Quality standards Monitor daily activities (logs, BPRs, training, work orders) to ensure accuracy and compliance Plan and coordinate shift activities, including maintenance, changeovers, and resource allocation Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, QA, QCL) to support production schedules Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving, Gemba walks, and team engagement Lead troubleshooting of plant issues and escalate when required Ensure effective communication across shifts and with site leadership Manage deviations, incidents, and support initial investigations Coach, develop, and performance-manage the operations team, including training and development plans Support workforce planning, including shift cover, absence management, and contractor oversight What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): Minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent Experience/knowledge of production areas Effective time management and co-ordination skills Previous demonstration of desired behaviours Additional Information: Rotating shift: 4 consecutive working days followed by 6 days off Banked hours: Extra hours may be accumulated and used for additional time off or schedule adjustments Location: Speke, UK Don’t meet every single requirement?
