Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join our culinary team at Wells Golf Club in Somerset. This role is vital in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production that enhances our guests' dining experience while aligning with our club's welcoming values.
Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure timely service.
* Supervise kitchen staff to maintain a productive work environment.
* Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients.
* Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area.
* Provide training and support to new kitchen staff members.
* Foster a positive team atmosphere that aligns with our club's values.
* Qualifications
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as an Assistant Chef or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
* Excellent supervisory and team management skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
* Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred.
* Good communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
