We are seeking a Senior Retrofit Energy Assessor/Retrofit Manager to join our Planned Hub within the Longhurst Decarbonisation team, based at our Peterborough office, PE3 9TP.
About the Role
In this role, you will ensure the delivery of high standards of service by managing, coaching, and developing the team to maximize individual and team potential. Reporting to the Decarbonisation Manager, you will contribute to positively impacting communities during project execution and by fostering a sustainable legacy afterward. You will also provide key insights into resident satisfaction and audit outcomes regularly.
Your responsibilities include overseeing retrofit schemes compliant with PAS 2030/2035 standards, including External Wall Insulation, Cavity Wall Insulation, Internal Wall Insulation, Windows, Loft Insulation, and Air Source Heat Pumps. You will conduct retrofit assessments, air tightness testing, EPC, and modeling to support project delivery, managing two direct reports. You will act as the main contact for the Decarbonisation Division, ensuring PAS compliance, quality assurance of external PAS consultants, and close collaboration with Contracts Managers to oversee contracts from inception to completion, including the preparation of PAS2030/35 Plans. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to company HSEQ policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and manage PAS 2030/35 compliance processes.
2. Provide project direction, ensuring compliance and consistency across multiple schemes.
3. Conduct Retrofit assessments, EPC, Borescope surveys, and air tightness tests.
4. Perform regular site visits to inspect works and complete relevant checks.
5. Manage supply chain compliance strategies for each project.
6. Prepare and oversee PAS2030/35 & MCS audits from accrediting bodies.
7. Ensure all systems and works meet company standards, behaviors, and values.
8. Assess building fabric, interpret EPC ratings, and recommend retrofit methods for improvement.
About You
You should have excellent customer service experience, preferably within social housing, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Well-organized with strong verbal and written communication skills, you should be IT literate. Necessary qualifications include Retrofit Assessor, Coordinator, and testing certifications, along with at least 1 year of experience as a Retrofit Coordinator.
