Overview
Trust Grade (ST5+ Equivalent) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Scarborough Hospital. York & Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has an ambitious programme of service modernisation and a reputation for providing high quality services. We are inviting applications for this post, based at York and Scarborough Hospitals. Candidates must have full GMC Registration. The successful post holder will work at SpR level and join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team at Scarborough Hospital. The post holder will be competent in intermediate skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and engage in all the duties incumbent in that role.
Responsibilities
This is a non-approved training position. You will:
* Work at SpR level within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team at Scarborough Hospital.
* Be competent in intermediate skills in obstetrics and gynaecology and engage in all duties incumbent in that role.
Named clinical supervisor and opportunities for service-based learning and professional development are provided.
Qualifications
Required: full GMC Registration.
Support, Training and Development
* Named clinical supervisor; local induction and information pack outlining internal training courses/opportunities.
* Individual Personal Development Plan and annual appraisal with access to NHS e-appraisal system (funded for posts six months or longer).
* Funding and paid time for study leave (£500 per annum pro-rata).
* Support towards completing training through the portfolio pathway; regular timetabled teaching sessions.
* Study Leave budget for Trust Grade Doctors (£500 per annum pro rata).
