In your new role, as the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for preparing statutory and management accounts for property rental and development businesses within the group. In addition, you will be responsible for the firms charity organisation including attending monthly Trustee meetings.
Preparing management accounts and consolidation on quarterly basis with commentary for the development portfolio comprising 50+ companies and LLPs operating in three group structures
1. Property development
2. Student Housing
3. Property investment
4. Review monthly cash call
5. Preparation of VAT returns to ensure compliance with legislation including partial exemption calculations
6. Review of corporation tax returns and assist with tax planning across the group
7. Preparation of audit files and liaising with auditors as required
8. ·Preparation of statutory accounts using Caseware on annual basis for property companies and other entities as required
9. Use of QUBE property management/ accounts system
10. Charity monthly management accounts, forecasts, payroll and ad hoc reporting
11. Ensure compliance with bank covenants for various loan facilities
12. Preparation of annual budget and forecast
13. authorising bank payments using on line banking software
14. formation and strike-off of companies
Required Qualifications/ Experience.
·A CA / ACCA qualified, ideally with property industry knowledge and experience.
·Statutory/ management accounts preparation experience
·Advanced excel
·Able to communicate at all levels and establish effective relationships
