DV Cleared P6 Planner and Scheduler
We are currently supporting a high-profile defence programme in the Reading area, with an immediate requirement for an experienced DV Cleared P6 Planner to join on a long-term contract.
This is an initial 6-12 month engagement with strong potential for extension, offering £600-£650 per day (Outside IR35). open to having conversations with particularly skilled individuals at a higher rate.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering complex programme planning across a secure, high-assurance environment. Working closely with programme teams, PMOs, and stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, integrated plans to support successful delivery.
There is an immediate requirement at initial stages, making this a great time to get involved early in a growing programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain programme and project plans using Primavera P6
* Work across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment and integration of schedules
* Support planning governance, reporting, and programme controls
* Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and critical paths
* Collaborate with PMO, project managers, and technical teams to ensure delivery remains on track
What We're Looking For
* Active DV Clearance (used within the last 12 months)
* Strong experience with Primavera P6 / project scheduling tools - Expert
* Background in roles such as:
o Project Planner
o Programme Planner
o Portfolio Planner
o Project Controller / Scheduler
o PMO professionals with strong planning exposure
* Experience working within defence, nuclear, or secure environments is highly desirable
* Ability to operate in a structured, high-governance environment
Working Pattern
* Predominantly on-site in Reading (4 days per week)
* 1 day per week remote (flexibility may increase over time)
* Flexible start date, though early availability is strongly preferred

We are also open to candidates who have developed strong planning experience as part of a broader role (e.g. PMO or Project Controls), provided they are confident working within P6.
