Overview
Production Operative - Alpha Lates at Chemring Countermeasures. The Production Operative will be required to multi-skill across process areas as required to support production output.
Responsibilities
* Follow process instructions to assist in achieving daily output
* Follow all health and safety procedures
* Wear full PPE
* Weigh, fill and press squib cartridges
* Manufacture and preparation for chaff productions
* Assembly of flares
* Ensure compliance with core Health & Safety Fire Training
* Quality control of all products
* Handling of pyrotechnic products
Production Operative Specification
* Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain a BPSS
* Ability to wear full PPE
* Previously worked in a similar environment
* Safety knowledge
Employment details
This role will be worked over 5 days, 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri 15:00 to 23:15. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team. The Production Operative role will be temporary with the possibility of going permanent after 12 weeks.
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £27,289.60 - £31,012.80 depending on length of service, plus £100 per month for wearing an oxygen fed mask, plus applicable shift premium.

* Level 3: 12 months service or more
