Overview
Hertsmere Borough Council are looking for HGV Driver/Loaders, to join our efficient street cleansing, waste and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere.
Responsibilities
* Drive a HGV refuse collection vehicle, perform routine inspections, maintenance and cleansing of the vehicle.
* Complete all necessary paperwork and lead and assist a small team involved in the collection of refuse.
Qualifications
* At least 1 year’s experience in a HGV driving role.
* Proven experience of manual handling and be capable of walking long distances and pulling and emptying refuse bins when required.
Contract and Benefits
This post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week) with opportunities for overtime.
