SEN Teaching Assistant – Hope Valley
We are seeking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
About the Role:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Support pupils with personal care and mobility where required.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous.
