Our Building Design Practice seeks an experienced, motivated Associate Building Services Design Engineer to develop their career in a supportive environment. The role is based in London but involves working with a national and international team via our Global Technical Centre.
The successful candidate will lead technical and team efforts on building and infrastructure projects, potentially across local and global projects. The role involves delivering engineering solutions to clients across the UK, with a focus on markets like Aviation, Cities & Development, Education, Energy, and Transportation. Sector experience in Rail, Residential, Education, or Commercial is advantageous.
The position emphasizes project delivery and client relationship management to maximize satisfaction and future opportunities. It offers a chance to apply expertise, problem-solving skills, and contribute to business growth.

Responsibilities:
* Develop AtkinsRéalis' presence in the Education Market, especially in London and the Southeast.
* Experience in the HE/FE sub-sector is desirable.
* Support business development within AtkinsRéalis and the wider organization.
* Engage with clients, professional bodies, contractors, and suppliers to grow business.
* Maintain and develop client relationships.
* Lead responses to project opportunities, bids, and proposals.
* Prepare fee proposals, estimate pricing, and respond successfully to tenders.
* Advise management on pipeline, staffing, workload, and standards.
* Oversee delivery of engineering teams, providing technical supervision.
* Conduct project reviews to ensure technical and schedule adherence.
* Lead client and design team briefings to set project criteria.
* Contribute to reports, designs, specifications, and contracts.
* Promote sustainable design practices.
* Enhance inter-discipline collaboration within the division.
* Follow quality assurance, document control, and project expenditure monitoring.
Requirements:
* Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer status.
* Membership of CIBSE, IMechE, IET, or similar.
* Strong knowledge of the Education Market and business development experience.
* Experience in design consultancy, managing projects, and financial control.
* Understanding of quality, safety, and environmental standards.
* Proficiency with relevant software and digital technologies.
* Financial acumen and team collaboration skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of contracts like NEC, JCT, etc., and industry legislation.
* Willingness to undertake additional duties as needed.
