About the Role
You will be joining a well-structured and organised team of around 30 individuals who are looking to grow the staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Dorset Council.
The team are involved in Mainstream assessment and post‑approval support. Responsibilities include Kinship assessments (including Reg 24/Fostering/Special guardianship), Supported Lodgings assessment and support, and Staying Put Run of the Mockingbird model.
Day to day activities
* Plan own diary.
* Attend full team meeting once a month and assessment team meeting once a month.
* Take turns on the duty rota.
* Complete approximately four kinship (fostering/SGO) placements through to completion, working between home and office.
Requirements as a Social Worker
* SWE Registration.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Drive and have access to a car.
* Post‑qualified experience.
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
