The Role:
We are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at Gosbecks Primary School. The successful candidate will support, inspire, and engage children to "be the best you can be."
You will need to:
* be educated to GCSE A-C (or equivalent) or above in English and Maths
* work under the direction of the Headteacher and Assistant Head, in partnership with other professionals, to support all pupils, including those with SEND and/or who may be disadvantaged, in line with codes of practice and school policies and procedures.
* provide a holistic knowledge of identified pupils and serve as a point of contact for families.
* support pupils and provide ongoing assistance to promote their inclusion in school.
* be willing to take responsibility for managing an inclusion base for part of the day.
* work with parents/carers to identify and address issues affecting their children and advise on support outside of school.
* liaise with staff and outside agencies as necessary.
* work as part of the safeguarding team as a deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Gosbecks Primary School is located in Colchester, with strong community links and a supportive governing body.
