Catastrophic Injury Team Manager (Strategy & Technical) (Claimant) – Fully Remote (UK)

A specialist claimant Serious Injury practice is recruiting a senior catastrophic injury lawyer for a leadership role focused on strategy, quality and outcomes. This is a fully remote position, offering the time and autonomy to support complex, high-value work properly while leading and developing senior colleagues within a collaborative team environment.
The opportunity
You will lead a small group of senior lawyers handling complex catastrophic injury claims, predominantly RTA, often involving multi-million-pound outcomes. Working alongside the team, you will shape case strategy throughout the lifecycle of the claim and provide consistent technical direction to ensure the right outcomes for clients and the business.
Key responsibilities

* Setting and steering case strategy across liability, causation, quantum, rehabilitation planning and settlement approach
\t
* Providing technical guidance, oversight and constructive challenge on key decision points and complex issues
\t
* Leading and developing senior colleagues through regular 1-2-1s, coaching, development plans and performance reviews
\t
* Maintaining consistently high standards of client care and communication across the team
\t
* Working closely with a multi-disciplinary model, including rehabilitation input, case management, experts and counsel
\t
* Supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in how complex claims are managed
\t
* Acting as a senior external representative as required, helping build profile and relationships in the serious injury space
Essential experience
\t
* Qualified solicitor with significant claimant serious injury experience (8+ years’ PQE guide)
\t
* Track record of handling catastrophic injury matters to high-value outcomes, including complex liability and quantum
\t
* Strong technical confidence across evidence, experts, interim payments/funding, rehabilitation and settlement strategy
\t
* Demonstrable experience mentoring, supervising or developing colleagues
\t
* Comfortable with people leadership responsibilities, including 1-2-1s and performance conversations
\t
* Credibility to represent a serious injury practice externally with professionalism and sound judgement
Location and working pattern
\t
* Fully remote / home based (UK)
\t
* Occasional travel for key client commitments, mediations, conferences or team collaboration when required
