Job Description
We are seeking a Solicitor to join the Office of the General Counsel, focusing on contentious work. The role offers flexibility regarding location, with hybrid/home working options. Our team advises on a variety of risk issues, including contentious and non-contentious matters across assurance, tax, and advisory services.
We support flexible working, reduced hours, and job shares to help balance work and life commitments.
Role Responsibilities
1. Handle a broad spectrum of claims and projects such as professional liability claims, regulatory issues, investigations, indemnity insurance, litigation, mediation, and risk management issues.
2. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver pragmatic and solution-oriented legal advice to stakeholders, including senior management and partners.
3. Manage external legal advisors, including instructing solicitors, counsel, and experts in disputes related to professional services.
This position may suit a junior or mid-level litigator from a commercial law firm, but applications from all qualified candidates demonstrating the necessary skills are welcome.
Candidate Minimum Criteria
* Qualified solicitor or barrister with substantial experience in commercial dispute resolution in England and Wales or a similar jurisdiction.
* Good knowledge of law and procedure related to professional liability, especially concerning professional advisors.

* Understanding of risk management issues faced by professional services firms.
* Pragmatic, commercially minded approach with problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage conflicting demands.
