Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Business Graduate with a foundation in project management to join the Venture Services team. The role will support the Venture Services Manager in assessing early-stage technologies and determining whether they should be developed as spin-out ventures or developed as products within the organisation's core services.
The Venture Services Analyst will play a key role in venture build analysis, market validation, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to evidence-based decision-making at critical stage-gates. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to develop hands-on experience in venture building, innovation, and commercial strategy within a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to structured venture build analyses and phase-end evaluations
* Conduct market research, including customer discovery, competitor analysis, and industry trends
* Support with planning, facilitation, and documentation of workshops such as ideation sessions, use case development, and validation activities
* Support the development of pitch decks, presentations, and investment or decision-making materials
* Assist in communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Apply project management principles to support delivery of venture activities on time and to scope
* Maintain documentation, timelines, and action tracking across venture projects
* Provide general analytical and operational support to the Venture Services Manager as required
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Business, Project Management or Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
* Foundational knowledge or exposure to project management methodologies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to structure information and present insights clearly
Desirable
* Experience or interest in innovation, venture building, startups, or product development
* Familiarity with market research techniques and commercial analysis
* Experience preparing pitch decks or business cases
* Confidence in facilitating or supporting workshops
