Job Description
A large specialist organisation near Didcot, Oxford are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the established team to have responsibility for providing both technical support and assisting the team in performing building services and building fabric maintenance.
The key duties of the post are as follows:
1. Undertake the mechanical maintenance of Electrical / Mechanical and Building Services Infrastructure.
2. Assist with monitoring and testing duties, as required by the Statutory Authorities.
3. Problem solving and fault diagnosis on all site services, including air conditioning and air handling units, piped gases, hot and cold-water systems (including unvented and pressurised systems), MTHW/LTHW systems, Chilled Water, refrigeration, etc.
4. Liaison and supervision of external contractors, service engineers and suppliers, including sub-contractor technical audits.
5. Liaison / communication with various departments / teams across to safely achieve maintenance activities.
6. Carry out and assist with the preparation of safety risk assessments and method statements.
7. Participate in Health and Safety and Quality Assurance procedures as appropriate to the post.
