We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader in Environmental Health to join our Regulatory Services team. As Team Leader, you will manage a dedicated team of regulatory professionals and support staff, covering Environmental Health, including food and safety, and environmental protection. Your role will be pivotal in identifying service priorities, ensuring these are translated into practical plans for action that will be delivered by the team. You will be responsible for the effective enforcement of environmental health and ASB legislation, safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of residents, consumers, and businesses across Solihull. You will work collaboratively and partner with local, regional, and national organisations to ensure regulation is consistent, efficient, and coordinated. What you’ll bring A degree-level qualification in Environmental health Extensive experience in regulatory advice, compliance, and enforcement, particularly within Environmental Health. Proven experience of conducting inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with Environmental Health law. Experience of managing a team and problem-solving in partnership contexts. Ability to manage complex enquiries, resolve conflicts, and deliver effective solutions. A collaborative approach, with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills across a range of stakeholders. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, to enable you to move around sites in the Borough where much of the team’s work is delivered.
