JOB TITLE: Temporary Accountant - Immediate Start

HOURLY RATE: £15.00 - £20.00 per hour
HOURS: Monday - Friday, can accommodate part time or full time hours

We are recruiting for a methodical and thorough Accountant to join a well-established team based in Honiton, on a temporary basis, starting immediately for a minimum of 6 - 8 weeks. You will provide a variety of duties to ensure smooth running of the department throughout a busy period. Ideally you would have experience using Xero or similar accounting software experience to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
8. Prepare and file self-assessment tax returns, particularly for clients with rental portfolios, sole trader businesses, and individuals earning over £,
9. Support the preparation and completion of limited company year-end accounts
10. Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation using Xero accounting software. Please note, Xero is our filing software.
11. Liaise with team members as required while working with autonomy and efficiency
Requirements:
12. Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
13. Well-organised and process driven
14. Experience within practice would be highly desirable
15. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
16. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
