GP with Extended Role in Dermatology – Southwark Community Dermatology (IHL)
Job Summary
Southwark Community Dermatology/Improving Health Ltd (IHL) seeks an experienced dermatology practitioner (GP with Extended Role in Dermatology, Accredited Dermatology GPSI or clinician in a Dermatology Trust Grade) to join a dynamic, enthusiastic and progressive team.
The applicant should have significant experience in primary care and dermatology services (RCGP/BAD GPwER Dermatology, Group 3 preferred), be able to work independently and provide supervision for junior colleagues when required.
Work part‑time (two sessions per week, including Wednesday afternoons) at Elm Lodge Surgery or Guys Hospital sites.

Part‑time, permanent contract.

Responsibilities
* Provide primary dermatology care in the community, triage referrals, offer advice and guidance to patients and GP services.
* Supplan services within the IHL/ Guys and St. Thomas NHS Foundation Trust collaboration.
* Support accreditation of GPwERs following RCGP 2018 guidance and competencies.
* Work collaboratively with Kings Health Partners and under IHL auspices.
* Report to Southwark Community Clinic Lead Dr Amr Salam and GPwER Lead Dr Naomi Kemp.
* Manage dermatology cases outside the 2‑week wait remit.
Qualifications
* GMC registration with licence to practice.
* Accredited RCGP/BAD GPwER in Dermatology (Group 1 or 3) or GPSI with dermatology diploma / Dermatology Trust grade.
* Proof of any UK performers list.
* Evidence of most recent appraisal.
* Proof of current NHS employment.
Experience
* Significant experience working in dermatology.
Disclosure & Barring Service Check
Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exemptions Order) 1975 applies. Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) check required.
UK Registration
Applicants must hold current UK professional registration (full GMC licence).
