Head of Supported Living (North)
Salary: Up to £62,000 + Expenses
Location: North Yorkshire area - Regular travel throughout Danby, Malton and Middlesbrough.
Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Within this role, the Head of Supported Living will oversee and develop services for adults with learning disabilities within the charity. The role ensures services are person-centred, high-quality, compliant with standards, and empower individuals to live independently. Leadership qualities such as integrity, collaboration, and transparency are essential. The role aims to support more people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health issues to lead healthy, active, and equal lives.
Our ambition is to lead in social and green care integration through personalisation, technological advancement, and holistic health. The role involves transforming services for effectiveness, efficiency, and focus on outcomes. Responsibilities include continuous service enhancement, growth, and maintaining strong relationships with authorities and private markets to increase funding and manage waiting lists.
The role manages a significant budget and reports directly to an Executive Management Team member, becoming part of the Senior Leadership Team, pivotal in delivering the charity’s strategic goals.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional Housing Qualification level 5 or above, with knowledge of housing law.
* Safeguarding Adults Level 5 or equivalent / Leadership in Health and Social Care Level 5 (desirable).
* Experience leading housing management within supported living services.
* Knowledge of Care Quality Commission regulations applicable to supported living.
* Experience leading teams in not-for-profit and voluntary sectors serving adults with learning disabilities and autism.
* Coaching, mentoring, and change management experience, including service redesign and transformation.
* Experience in policy development and implementation.
* Ability to manage teams across wide geographical locations with hybrid working styles.
Location & Travel: North Yorkshire and North East, covering communities at Botton Village (Danby), Croft (Malton), and Larchfield (Middlesbrough). Regular travel and occasional overnight stays for meetings are required.
