What you will do:
* Undertake Child and Family Assessments within statutory timescales
* Manage cases involving safeguarding and child protection concerns
* Identify risk, analyse complex information, and make sound safeguarding decisions
* Carry out statutory visits and direct work with children and families
* Progress cases to CIN, Child Protection, or legal planning as required
* Prepare clear, analytical, and high-quality reports and case records
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children
Person specification:
Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Registration and compliance:
* Registered with Social Work England
* Enhanced DBS
* Right to work in the UK
Key skills:
* Strong assessment and safeguarding practice skills
* Confident risk analysis and decision-making abilities
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Experience:
* Recent experience within Assessment & Safeguarding or Front Door teams
* Experience working with child protection thresholds
* Proven multi-agency working experience
* Local authority experience is essential
* Locum experience is desirable
