We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with pupils with complex communication needs and SEMH either 1:1 or in small groups. The ideal candidate should have training in autism, ADHD and trauma informed approaches and can follow the sensory curriculum to facilitate progress through tailored personalised learning programmes by inspiring and engaging pupils to deliver outstanding quality of education.
Beechwood is a large and dynamic primary school, where our Teaching Team make a vital contribution to the wellbeing and progress of all our pupils.
We require a committed person who wants to play an active role in ensuring that SEND pupils receive provision of the highest quality.
We can offer training in methods of curriculum delivery of proven effectiveness, a team based approach to planning and a range of opportunities for continuing professional development, including collaboration with the four other primary schools in our Trust.
We are a two form entry school and this post is a temporary post. A comprehensive induction programme will be provided for the successful applicant.
Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus five training days. Temporary contract, one year in the first instance.
