Full Stack Developer – Financial Compliance Innovation (Hybrid or Fully Remote)

Hours: 8:30 – 5:30 (Some flexibility required)
An innovative financial organisation is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced development team working on a next-generation transaction monitoring application. This greenfield project will support anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) initiatives and is designed for long-term development and global scalability.
Responsibilities:
* Develop a cloud-based platform for internal and external use, including modules for transaction monitoring, client profiling, and analytics
* Implement responsive front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript, based on Figma designs
* Build robust back-end services using Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic) and other modern tools
* Contribute to event-driven architecture via Kafka for integration with other financial systems
* Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability across the stack
Tech Stack:
* Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js/Angular
* Backend: Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Alembic
* Infrastructure: Azure, Kafka, SQL (PostgreSQL, MSSQL), Docker
* Testing & Quality: Pytest, Mypy, Ruff, Poetry
Ideal Candidate:
* 0.5 to 3 years of relevant experience or research-based background
* Ability to write clean, well-documented, and scalable code
* Experience across the full development lifecycle
* Strong interest in compliance, fintech, or platform engineering
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (undergraduate or master's level)
