Job Title: Fitter- Compressed Gases
Aeropeople have partnered with a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices who are now looking to hire a permanent Fitter- Compressed Gases, to be based at their site in Stansted. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site 5 days per week.
They are a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets, recognised as a global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets.
As a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices they offer specialised services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment’s.
Hours of work are Monday- Thursday: 8am- 4.To repair, test and overhaul valve & cylinder assemblies and undertake hydrostatic testing of cylinders and charging of complete assemblies (up to 4500 PSI)
* Strip down of valve assemblies
* Build-up valve assemblies ready for testing on various flow rigs
* Hydrostatic testing of cylinders in accordance with Department of Transport requirements
* Re-assembly of the valve and cylinder components
* Charge the complete assemblies to pressures of up to 4500 PSI
* Provide ad hoc support, as required, to the safety inflatable team
25 days Annual Leave + Bank holidays

* Overtime available at 1.Prior working experience of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals (essential)
* Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
* Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
