An exciting opportunity for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy delivering impactful projects across the energy, infrastructure, and healthcare sectors. This role offers genuine flexibility, long-term progression, and the chance to work on technically varied and meaningful projects.
The Role
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit MEP team, taking on a varied workload that includes mechanical design, project management, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders. Projects typically focus on upgrading and improving existing assets, with values up to £500k.
This position offers a hybrid working model, typically around 2 days in the office and 3–4 days remote, supporting a strong work–life balance.

Project types include:
* Inspections and monitoring
(Please note: this role does not involve data centre projects.)
* Small MEP team (approx. 4–5 engineers)

* Growing workload in healthcare, with clear expansion plans
* Suitable for strong senior-level engineers (not associate level)
* Clear progression route from Senior to Principal Engineer
* Potential pathway to Associate level within 2–3 years

Salary & Benefits
* Annual leave: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (option to buy or sell up to one working week)
Pension
* 3% employee contribution
* 5% employer contribution, rising to:
* 7% after 5 years’ service
